		<description>The initiative taken by Safeway with respect to the disabled employees is exemplary. 
Disabilities do not render human beings useless or make them a liability as most lacking any insight to the matter would assume. 
On the contrary, we have examples of people like Stephen Hawking who is without question one of the most brilliant individuals alive but who also battles a severe physical disability. His physical disability has not hindered his scientific genius. The investment made by ibm in providing him with the tools to function have proved useful and profitable for the scientific enterprise, the society and the immediate sponsors or funders of the man. It is about time that we recognize the abilities of those who may have a handicap but possess strengths that are unique and desirable in the workforce. Thanks for sharing the article.
