Gay Couple Wins Second Place in Crate & Barrel’s “Ultimate Wedding Contest”

nav_logo_crateandbarrelSupport for marriage equality is growing. A same-sex couple, Gregory and Jonathan, won second place in a pool of over 9,000 couples competing for a $100,000 Crate & Barrel wedding package. The work of an elite panel of judges who are out of sync with public opinion? Hardly. Judges only evaluated applications of the 50 couples who received the most votes from the public. Among those, Gregory and Jonathan received the second highest number of votes (20,054). For their participation, Gregory and Jonathan received a $7500 gift card to Crate & Barrel–and lots of encouragement that same-sex couples are increasingly being more accepted in the mainstream as full members of society.
