		<description>Interesting article. I am a trainer in a Software company, and I have always felt and taught that accent is not important as long as the speaker is articulate. Only if mispronunciation hinders understanding do we need to correct pronunciation.
Also, many Indians feel humiliated if told that they need to &quot;change&quot;,  &quot; reduce&quot; , or &quot;neutralize&quot; their typical  accents. 
What is important is to speak with clarity, articulate words, so that our language is easily understood.
